Highlights for staking
  • Safe: Tokens never leave your wallet;
  • Available: If a Tfuel Edge Node or Theta Guardian Node is taken offline, you can still unstake;
  • Automated: Earnings go right into the wallet that staked them;
  • Easy: Unstaking is easier than staking. No summary is needed. Simply require the wallet address of the node you staked to which is listed in your wallet under the stake tab.
Delegating Tfuel Stake
  1. Unlock your Theta wallet (wallet.thetatoken.org or Mobile Wallet). Click the Stakes tab in the menu on the screen.
  2. Click on Deposit Stake.
  3. Select Edge Node.
  4. Enter the edge node summary.
  5. Enter an amount ranging from 10,000 to 500,000 Tfuel per deposit (according to the remaining capacity of the selected node) with a transaction fee (0.3 Tfuel for now).
  6. Click on Next and validate the transaction.
  7. Wait to make sure the stake deposit transaction is confirmed.
Delegating Theta Stake
  1. Unlock your Theta wallet (wallet.thetatoken.org or Mobile Wallet). Click the Stakes tab in the menu on the screen.
  2. Click on Deposit Stake.
  3. Select Guardian Node.
  4. Select Delegated Guardian Node.
  5. Scroll down to select abacus and click on Next.
  6. Enter an amount ranging from 1,000 to 10,000 Theta per deposit with a transaction fee (0.3 Tfuel for now).
  7. Click on Next and validate the transaction.
  8. Wait to make sure the stake deposit transaction is confirmed.
Repeat the deposit process if you have more than 10,000 Theta

In your wallet, you should see the Tfuel balance increasing by 11.88 Tfuel (including the 1% commission) every 15-30 days for 1,000 Theta tokens staked or faster for a larger stake.

Validator

If you have enough Theta (minimum 200k) choose a Validator, just stake to any of the Validators. It's permissionless, you don't need a summary to stake to them, just the node address. Validators earn their rewards based on stake and not software status (online or offline, at least for now). Check the fees beforehand. Some charge 10%.

To stake on this node in the validator section, deposit 200k+ Theta to the node address instead of the summary currently used for Guardian Nodes.

DO NOT SEND your Theta to this address. In the Theta Wallet, select Stakes, then Deposit and finally Validator Node.
