Never directly SEND any tfuel to an address when staking. Always use the staking option and enter the node summary to stake on, the nodes statuses indicating if they have room left for staking on the nodes as 500k is the limit for a single node.
Try to use one wallet per tfuel elite edge node. It requires more manipulations from you but it's easier to monitor the rewards from each tfuel elite edge node you have a stake on and detect much faster a node offline. With the explorer, you can check each coinbase deposit from each node.
A magnificent website and an active Discord channel have nothing to do with the performance of the linked elite edge nodes you could be staked on.
If your bag is big enough, spread the stakes for the sake of network stability on different elite edge nodes. If possible, don't put all your eggs in the same basket. Diversify with different operators. Avoid building up a very large one. Don't just go with the popular one. Look at uptime, fees and network connectivity. A large operator can go offline, be unresponsive for months or stops business. It is then way harder to find another operator when a large one collapses and it will take time for the others to fill the gap.
For a small bag, try to allocate your funds to an almost full tfuel elite edge node. The rewards are smaller but at higher frequency, much easier to monitor when the node goes offline. In the end, the total amount of rewards is the same.
